Jack Benny's comic fantasy which became the butt of a running joke on the Jack Benny radio show. Actually it's much better than its reputation, and it's at last available on region one DVDs.

Subject: Wow, talk about misrepresentation!
"The Horn Blows at Midnight" was neither a huge success nor the notorious bomb that Jack Benny made it out to be. But if it had been a dismal failure, this ad campaign would be a good indication as to why. There's no indication that it's a bizarro fantasy, no glimpses of the dazzling special effects and none of the insanely over-the-top comical moments are featured. Instead, it's marketed like a run-of-the-mill '40s sex comedy. It's always cool to see trailers that deviate from merely showing clips from the film, but otherwise this was a huge marketing misfire.
